Garbage disposal is leaking
Doesn’t working
For model number KCDB250G4
Hi Young, thank you for contacting us. If you find that the leak is coming from the top of your garbage disposal, it may not be a problem with your whole unit. The likely cause of this is that your unit has a loose sink flange. A sink flange connects your garbage disposal to your sink drain. To stop the leak, you should tighten your mounting bolts and make sure that your plumber’s putty has not been compromised. If it has, you can reseal it with fresh putty. If the source of the leak is coming from the bottom of your garbage disposal, it can be because of internal seals that have worn out over time, and you should buy a new disposer. When your disposal is leaking from the side, it can be because of loose drain lines. There are two drain lines connected to your system. One is for the dishwasher to drain into the disposal, and the other drains waste from your disposal to your sewer. These drain pipes are connected by a metal clamp. To fix a garbage disposal leaking from the side, make sure you tighten the screws of your metal clamp or replace your rubber gasket. We hope this solves your problem!
