Splash guard worn out
pulled out the old and stuck in the new--so easy a caveman could do it.

old one wore out and had shrunk and coming loose.
Turn off power to unit (switch off) Put rubber gloves on and pulled out old guard. Then cleaned the area on the sides and the under the lip with wet paper towels. Crud had built up. Once clean push the new guard in. Since it was new it was tight .push down moving finger pressure around until it seated. Works fine.

old splash gard became loose, felt always into grinder
just wet the surface of the new part and pushed it with some force into its place. It was real easy
