Deteriating splash guard
The splash guard for the disposer was deteriorating and kept falling into the disposer and getting chewed up making it even less reliable. I purchased two different 'universal' splash guards at the hardware store. Neither of them fit. I finally crawled under the sink with my eyeglasses and a flash light to find the model number. I se arched for the model number on part select and received veery quickly. I just popped it in (less than a minute) and now everything is wonderful. Don't buy a new disposer (my wife wanted me to) buy the replacement part that is giving you trouble at PartSelect!
