The AC power cord was burned and melted
* Unscrewed all the screws from the bottom (torx screw heads)
* Turned it upside down and slowly pried open the bottom base, separating it frm the top
* With a plier I bent the AC power cord connectors to the green board and removed them (while noting down the direction they were connected)
* Took out the old mains lead and ... Read more reconnected the new cable securely, routing it inside the same way the old one was running through
* Tested the appliance on a low-power setting to confirm everything worked (Initially when testing it, it didn't turn on... I was afraid something was wrong, but then I realized that this machine isn't supposed to turn on without the cover being closed... So I inserted it and it worked as expected...)
* Closed back the base and reinserted the screws, and inspected the repair for any overheating or loose connections
