I have a cracked in half log #6 i see on you site no longer available. Can you still fire up this system with that log being cracked. My 2nd issue is the pilot lights once i fire up the system it runs for 3 to 5 min. Then shuts down including the pilot. What would that problem be and what part would you suggest i may need for repair? Any direction is appreciated.

Thank you for your question. It is not recommended to use the log if it is broken. The log, part number 6 in the diagram, part number 70D0124, has been discontinued by Monessen and you will need to contact them to see if they have information on a replacement. Their telephone number is 1-877-406-9180. If they provide you with a part number for a replacement log, please feel free to contact us and we will verify if we have it available for you. If your heater is shutting down after 3-5 minutes, the issue could be the ods pilot assembly. The part number listed for the natural gas ods pilot assembly is FIX10409030. The part number listed for the liquid propane ods assembly is FIX10409032.
