Dry will dry but once running it will stop and say unplug and call customer service. What could this be?

Hello Paula, thank you for reaching out to us. If your outdoor exhaust vent duct is severely choked with lint, the dryer cannot expel hot, moist air. As a safety measure to prevent a house fire, the system will abruptly shut down the cycle and display a critical error. Inspect the outdoor vent exhaust cap while the dryer is running to see if air is actively blowing out. Clean your entire duct line from the back of the dryer to the outside wall. Also, check the thermistor, part number PS4204984. If the thermistor is defective or reads an incorrect resistance level once it starts getting warm, the dryer assumes it's malfunctioning or registering unsafe temperatures, forcing a hard shutdown. Dryer would not start but electronics were working.
Pulled top of dryer off; noticed the belt was loose but not broken. Went in through the back (1 screw and removed the exhaust pipe/plate); noticed the wheel was broken and thus the belt had fallen off.

I ordered twice from this site. the thermistor was the first order, the fuse was the second order. Turns out the thermistor sent was the WRONG one. When I reassemble the dryer, after 20 minutes the thermistor sent burned up to a crispy chard. The ohms on the wrong part was 12ohms. per the dryer diagnostics the thermistor should have been
... Read more=<1 ohm. I put in the original part and it worked. The fuse did the trick. the thermistor, not so much. Lesson to be learned is to not rely on this sites parts compatibility information. Look at the specs for your dryer from the manufacturer.
