It doesn’t spray water to wash the dishes.
For model number WDT730PAHZ0

Hello Christopher, thank you for your question. There are several reasons why your dishwasher may not be filling with water. An incorrectly positioned drain hose, open or unlatched door, shut off water supply or obstructed Overfill Protection Float PS11773147 or Overflow Control Switch PS11750031 may be responsible. We are pleased to have been able to help.

It fills and drains water, the float moves and is clear of debris as far as i can tell. Filters are clear as with the spray arms are clear of debris. However there is no spraying of water. Is there a pump that pushes water up into the arms?
For model number WDT730PAHZ0

Hello Christopher, thank you for contacting us. Yes, there is a pump motor, part number FIX12070585, which delivers water to the spray arms to clean the dishes during the wash cycle. The issue is most probably related to this pump. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!

Is there a way to see if the pump has failed?
For model number WDT730PAHZ0

Hello Christopher, thank you for your inquiry. To determine if the drain pump, part number FIX11738151, is defective, check the pump motor for continuity using a multimeter. If the motor does not have continuity, or if it is getting power but won't run, replace the drain pump. Drain pumps are not repairable; if the drain pump is defective, you must replace it. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Dishwasher not heating. I changed out the heating element and it’s still not working. How can I run a diagnostic test?
For model number WDT730PAHZ0

Hello Venessa, thank you for asking. For activating the diagnostic mode, you basically pick any 3 keys other than Start or Cancel, and push them in a 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 pattern, with no more than 1 second between key presses. If done successfully, all the lights should blink, and if you then shut the door it should begin a diagnostic cycle. Also, as per Whirlpool, You can test your dishwasher heating element by running a Sanitize wash cycle. If the Sanitize light on the control panel is blinking or doesn’t light up, there may be a problem with the heating element . We hope this helps.

Instruction from Whirlpool Not Good (No problem with Part Select)
Trial and error. The instructions from Whirlpool included with the part had minuscule pictures so it was hard to follow. The written instructions were good. But "a picture is worth a thousand words." Eventually it worked. The metal replacement part is much better the the plastic original. Not a good reflection on Whirlpool.

Lost dishwasher brackets
I called an experienced plumber, who balanced and installed my new dishwasher properly, using the brackets I ordered from Parts Select, after an INEXPERIENCED plumber had tossed the factory-provided mounting brackets out with the shipping carton. Relief!
