What could be causing the whining/squealing sound early on in my dishwasher’s wash cycle? It seems to go away after about 45 min.

Hi John, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, first, you need to make sure that nothing is obstructing the upper or lower wash arms, as it may be hitting them as it turns. If there is no obstruction, you may need to check the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. When it is new, the water inlet valve is very quiet during operation. Over time, the diaphragm inside the valve deteriorates and deforms. This deformation interacts with the water rushing in and can produce a loud vibration, buzzing, squealing, or other noises. If the dishwasher is loud during the filling cycle, replacing the water inlet valve, part number FIX12743161, may solve the problem. If there is no issue with the water inlet valve, you may need to check the drain pump, part number FIX12730507, to ensure that it is clear of debris. If the drain pump is clean but still noisy, you may need to replace it. If the problem persists, you may need to check the circulation pump, part number FIX12741248. The circulation pump motor has bearings that wear out over time. When the motor bearings fail, they generate a continuous drone. If the motor bearings have failed, you may need to replace the entire circulation pump. We hope this helps!

Hi Anthony, thank you for contacting us. Since you have replaced most of the parts that may cause this issue, we would recommend checking the turbidity sensor, part number FIX11762982, to fix the issue. It detects the soil level in the water and sends the information to the control board to start or end the cycle. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
I have replaced the valve check and the drain pump still having issues with unit draining it will not drain unless I pull up on the valve check what else can I check to help this drain issue there's no kinks I even connected it directly to the disposal with a high loop new hose. Hi Anthony, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the main control board, part number FIX16219700. The main control board provides power to nearly every electrical component in the dishwasher. A faulty board may be unable to supply power to the drain pump, preventing it from drawing the water out of the tank and forcing it through the drain hose to the garbage disposal or sink drain pipe. If it is faulty, you may need to replace it. We hope this solves your problem!
Decided it could be 1 of 3 things. Fuse on main circuit board that controls hot water. Main control board or drain pump failure. Was not able to find out how to do diagnostics on this unit as there is no "cycle control" feature and this is a top of the line unit. Replaced the fuse and dishwasher failed. Replaced the circuit board and dish
... Read morewasher failed the first time. Second time it went to completion and has worked properly since. You can go on line and find videos on removing the circuit board for GE dishwashers. This can be done without pulling the dishwasher out. Remove the lower black dust panel and insulation. Remove cover to electrical box - 1 screw and remove. Remove 2 to 4 screw on a sheet metal bracket that holds the circuit board. Notice where 2 metal hangers are located if you remove 4 screws on the left and right side of machine as they drop out. Remove black corded door sensor under circuit board. Work the sheet metal back and forth to remove from dish washer so that circuit board is exposed. Remove circuit board connectors and pull out unit to install new circuit board. Some have one screw and some have only plastic retainers. Re-install. I did not need the drain pump and the circuit board comes with a control board fuse. Washer was only 14 months old and 2 months out of warranty.

The dishwasher should now function properly.
