Spring assembly on detergent and rinse aid dispenser broke so the sliding lid would not operate
Here are the steps you need to take to do the job properly:

1. turn off electrical circuit breaker to the dishwasher
2. remove 8 total hex screws (3 on each side and 2 at the top) of the inside door panel. The door panel will slide off so be careful and it happens pretty quickly when the last hex screw is removed.
3. unplug the wiring harness to the detergent/rinse aid dispenser
4. you need to use a flat head screw driver to lift the metal flanges on the top and bottom of the detergent/rinse aid dispenser.
5. the unit will pop out toward the inside of the dishwasher
6. insert the new detergent rinse/aid dispenser and very important all metal flanges are pulled back over the plastic edge (top and bottom) of the dispenser unit. The screw driver needs to be used to assist in pushing the dispenser unit as tight to the frame of the door to ensure the metal flanges grab hold and lock in.
7. re-attach the wiring harness
8. re-install the dishwasher door with 8 hex screws. Doing this step alone is challenging as the door frame will want to keep going up to close. I used a small foot stool and placed it inside the dishwasher front area on top of the inside metal door area so the door would stay open roughly half way. I then used my knees to prop up the outer door cover while i got 2 screws started then was able to easily complete the job.
9. run the dishwasher with a detergent packet loaded into your new dispenser. I checked for 15-20 minutes during initially running to insure no issues or leaks.
10. One last note - my Bosch dishwasher had a custom wood door installed to the outer panel to blend in with our kitchen cabinets. The door itself was much heavier as a result. Some of you may not experience the slight difficulty i noted above in step 8. Good luck.

My dishwasher was not draining
With the help of You Tube, this 50 year old Mom got the job done. Not that complicated if you watch the step by step instructions on the Appliance Pro video. My repairman and husband were both determined to just buy a new one but this 20 year old dishwashing genius was just in need of a little repair. Only need a screwdriver, and slightly confusing as wires hook on a little different on new pumps. I suggest watching video the whole way through and then playing it step by step as you do the repair. Worked great for me. Thanks.

Replacing Dishwasher door gasket
Watched a 5 min YouTube video and followed directions. Could not have performed the project without the video help. Had to remove dishwasher from under the counter to remove door from dishwasher. Glad I could perform task, would have been a costly repair. One appliance repair company would not do the job.

BROKEN CORD, PART OF DOOR COUNTERWEIGHT
REMOVED DISHWASHER FROM CABINET. DETACHED BASE FROM BODY OF THE DISHWASHER. INSTALLED NEW CORD, REATTACHED BASE TO BODY OF DISHWASHER AND REINSTALLED IN CABINET. OPINION: THIS IS A LENGTHY REPAIR AND UNNECESSARY ONE. THE CORD IS PART OF THE DOOR COUNTERWEIGHT AND SUBJECT TO TENSION EVERY TIME THE DOOR IS OPENED, AS WELL AS POTENTIAL CHAFFING DUE TO PROXIMITY TO VARIOUS METAL PARTS, AND VIBRATION. THE CORD SHOULD BE MADE OF STRONGER MATERIAL AND ARMORED OR ALLOWED MORE CLEARANCE. BOSCH SHOULD FIX TO LAST THE LIFE OF THE DISHWASHER.

Would not fill with water. Pump sound like it was running when starting cycle
It was necessary to pull the dish washer to access the valve located on the lower left front of machine. Some difficulty in disconnecting water inlet and outlet hoses to valve since spring clips used to secure hoses. Tight spaces to remove the old valve and install new valve. Used screw type hose clamp on reinstall in lieu of spring clips. May have been easier had I had the special pliers used to remove and install spring type clips.
Saved a minimum of $100 for service call.

Upper door seal (the surround seal) was leaking
This is a piece of cake. No tools are actually needed. Grasp one end of the old seal and gently pull it out of the groove in which is fits. Take the new seal, and paying attention to which way around it fits (there is a right and wrong way!) start at either end. Leave an inch or so beyond the groove to rest on the bottom of the dishwasher, and press the seal in place in the groove. You should have an inch or so left at the far end. Go back and go all along the seal and make sure it is pressed evenly and completely into the groove the full length.

You're done.

I did not know how to reach the part to be replaced so I took the base off and everything became complicated as I had to put it back, lots of electrical wires, houses aso.
To replace the part per se was simple. To put everything back in place was more difficult as I took the base of the dishwasher off and a lor of other parts in order to reach for the drain pump. The irony was, after I took appart the base I fount a clip on the internet showing how to do that job and that was a very simple thing, couple of screws to take off the toe plate and the interior liner of the door, to create good access to the drain pump. Really a job of 10 minutes at the max.

When I checked the drain filter to clean, I noticed the plastic supports were broken and the micro screen had collapsed.
I took out the old filter and replaced it with the filter I had ordered. Very easy and not necessary to call a repairman.
