Can the filter be replaced in this model? If not, why is there a filter timer?

Hello Francine, thank you for reaching out. The air filter assembly, part number FIX12172023, is compatible with your model. This filter assembly can easily be replaced and is located behind the front grille. To replace the filter, remove the bucket. Grasp the filter edge and pull it straight down and out. Replace the old filter with a new one. We hope this information helps!
