Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. If your dehumidfier is not pulling water from the air, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the capacitor, the overload, the fan motor and the electronic control board. You will find the information on how to test these parts under Free Repair Help and Instant Repairman on our website. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

The bucket full warning does not work because the metal strip that depresses the bucket full warning and is controlled by the float arm at the top of the bucket which pivots as the water rises thus releasing the the bucket full warning and shuts down the dehumidifier is missing. This strip must have fallen off and went down the toilet when i emptied the bucket. How do i fabricate this small but vital metal strip?

When the dehumidifier is plugged into an electric outlet, the unit makes a buzzing noise even though the unit is not turned on. When the on/off button is depressed, the unit seems to work normally with the fan turning on. When the on/off button is again depressed, the fan turns off, but the loud buzzing continues until the unit is unplugged from the electric outlet. Any idea what might be causing this?
