Does the outside container that has the handles have a bottom?
What does the coil rest on?

Hi Janet,
Thank you for your question. The body assembly with handles does come with a bottom. Place the oil container inside the body assembly and place the heating element inside the oil container. The element will rest at the bottom of the oil container. We hope this helps!
