the grate broke in pieces
There was no repair to do. All I had to do was toss the broken grate and place the other one on top of the burner. I was very impressed with how easily it was to find the new grate on this site, and how quickly my part came. I had a huge party in 3 days and without having to pay for expedited shipping, it was at my doorstep in 2 days. Awesome service!

The plastic oven knob broke.
I took the new knob out of the plastic bag and placed it on the oven. The whole process took les than one minute and no tools were needed.

replaced broken control knob
at first I couldn't get the knob on but after placing a little Vaseline on it, it went right on.

We lost our knob, and it was very difficult to turn the fan on or off
I googled Kitchenaid along with the model number and Parts Select came up. I then entered the model number along with what I wanted, and scrolled through different pictures until I found a sketch of my cooktop with individual numbers for each part. I selected the part, and rechecked the model number of the cooktop and ordered it. From the time I ordered on-line, until I received it, was 3 days. I am very impressed with the service, and the knob fits perfectly! Thanks so much for the excellent service!
