disconnect the power supply at the breaker panel. Test with volt meter before removing cable in JB. lifted cooker top out of counter position. lay on flat protected surface glass side down, (protect the glass using a large towel) remove the side screws and screws around power cable bracket. Read more ion to be disconnected. mark each cable on the old and new element to ID their position. remove terminals/cables from their position. undo the two screws holding the element in position, transfer brackets to new element. Clean any dust/dirt from the inside of unit. install the new element making sure you connect the cables as per your old element (refer to your notes). replace the back cover making sure you reconnect the fan terminals. tighten all screws and check all looks correct.replace hob in counter top and reconnect to the power supply again make sure you note what colour cables connect to the feed line. apply power at breaker panel, test all elements working correctly, wait for top to cool and clean glass top. Make a cup of tea.
