How do I do an oil change?
For model number HL550100
Hello Yvon, thank you for reaching out. To change the oil, first let the compressor run for a short time so the oil warms up, then unplug the unit for safety. Place a drain pan under the pump end of the compressor. Remove the oil drain plug and allow all the oil to flow out completely; tilting the unit can help ensure it drains fully. Once empty, reinstall the drain plug securely. Next, refill the pump with the recommended oil, such as Chevron synthetic 5W-30, Mobil 1 5W-30, or 10W-30 synthetic motor oil, until it reaches the full mark on the sight glass. Finally, remember that the oil should be changed after every 50 hours of use to keep the compressor running properly. We hope this information helps!
