After sawing 2 3/4x 4" boards the saw will not start right up, have to wait several minutes to make another cut. What should be replaced to repair saw?

Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. If your circular saw stops after cutting some wood, you will need to check the blade. If you are not using the correct blade, or if it is warped, damaged or not being used properly, then it will need to be replaced. If you have any questions, please let us know. Why does the blade not turn freely when i turn it? It clicks on the Skil saw.

Hello Louis, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided, this is usually caused by the blade not connecting to the motor shaft, or a faulty motor. We would recommend checking the stator and the rotor assemblies. Good luck with your repair.
