The saw started running too fast on idle and was over revving under light load.
I tried a few adjustment on the carb jets and the idle speed but it got worse. I opened it up and discovered that the carburetor was loose and the engine was sucking air at the carburetor mount. One of the nuts was lost so I ordered a replacement part and a spare in case it happens again. This saw has worn out at least 6 chains, three gui de bars and a sprocket. Had one other repair a year ago when it broke a clutch spring in the sprocket.
