pring already installed. I think my time is worth something and not being frustrated with getting all the parts back in place was worth the extra $15. As far as the actual work this is how it went. Remove two large nuts on side of saw. Remove damaged cover. Put on new cover. Tighten 2 nuts. Adjust tension of chain. Only trick would be to check that the chain brake lever is not in the forward position (where it would stop the chain from turning). It should be in the back position (towards the top handle) to put back on the cover. Love this saw by the way for cutting small trees for firewood.
