My bread maker seems to stop working on the first section of Rise" - the machine goes cold and it quits. Any suggestions other than to scrap it?

Hi Janet,
Thank you for your question. If the bread maker stops part-way through a cycle, make sure that it is plugged firmly into an electrical outlet that is not sharing a circuit with another appliance. Bread makers may also overheat if they do not get enough air circulation around them. If the dough is too hard, the bread maker motor will overheat and it will stop. Once the motor cools, the bread maker will start working again. We hope this helps!
