KSB5WH0 KitchenAid Blender

I only had to use my hands to install the the new lid seal and the new lid seal fit perfectly. The old original seal was made of foam & would not come clean. The new lid seal is rubber; that's what the blender should have come with when new.

We:
tipped the mixer over on its side
pulled the old feet off
put the new feet in place and pounded them w/our fists
set it back up on its new feet
smiled

I retrieved the package from under the doormat where the FedEx driver had left it. Using a utility knife, I carefully cut open the package but accidentally cut into the included packing slip. I removed the seal from the packet and removed the lid from the blender jar by turning it a few degrees counterclockwise by hand. Using my fingers, I removed the old seal from the lid and then using those same fingers I laid the new seal in place. Then slapping myself in the forehead, I realized I should probably wash the new seal before using it because you just never know who has handled it. So I reversed the installation process and after washing the seal with mild soap and water, I re-installed it on the lid using the same finger process. The next step was to re-install the lid on the jar by turning it a few degrees clockwise until it locked into place. The last step was to congratulate myself for a job well done by cracking open a beer while at the same time cursing myself for spending $16 on a stupid rubber seal.
