My trigger on my LSTE523/525 is frozen. I've attempted to take the handle apart as shown in some fix it videos, but the screws appear to be 2 different sizes. I have been able to remove some screws using a T15 hex screwdriver. How do I repair the trigger?
For model number LSTE523

Hello Sammy, thank you for your inquiry. We have found some relevant instructions for you to remove the plug. They may not be of the exact same model, but will help you with the process. You may follow the following steps: remove the adjustable handle from the trimmer. To remove the handle, press the button that is normally pressed when you adjust the handle and insert a metal rod through the hole in the opposite side to push the internal plunger. Now, remove the screws that secure the two halves of the housing together. Two of the screws are located underneath the sticker. Locate those screws, cut through the sticker and then remove them. Also, on the top, cut through the sticker then separate the two halves of the housing. Now you may remove the trigger. Follow the steps backwards to install the handle after repairing the trigger. Good luck with your repair!
