I have replaced the field coils as it look melted but pass the ohm's test . The armature passed all three ohm's tests i have reassembled the grinder. It still wants to burn the field coils as it get hot and starts to smoke. I believe the armature most likely bad but passes all the tests. What is the next step? Any advice Thanks, Mark cell 224 616 8611

Hi Mark, Thank you for your question. If your grinder is overheating and you have replaced the field coils and checked the armature, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the carbon brushes, the bearings, the gears, the fan and the holders. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
