Bought this air filtration system at a garage sale. The on button causes a "transformer hum" and i can see the fan trying to turn, then fan blade stops but hum continues. Is this a motor issue or something different?Thanks

The unit works if I use the buttons on the unit but the remote no longer works. How do I determine if it’s the remote or the board?
