I bought the portable air conditioner 2025 for summer and it’s no longer cooling properly. Ice is forming on the back of he machine , where the filter is located , what’s can I do?

Hello Rocio, thank you for getting in touch. Ice forming on the coils behind the filter is caused by restricted airflow. Start by switching the unit to Fan Only mode or turning it off completely and allowing all the ice to melt fully before running the cooling mode again. While it is defrosting, remove the filter and wash it with warm water. A clogged filter is a common cause of coil icing as it prevents warm room air from passing over the coils, causing them to drop too cold. Also, check that the exhaust hose is not kinked or blocked and that the unit has at least 12 to 20 inches of clearance from walls or furniture. If the room temperature is already below 65°F the coils can freeze even with clean filters. Try raising the set temperature slightly or increasing the fan speed to improve airflow.
