The mode will not change . None of the buttons are working when i press them . The only way i can turn it off is unplugging it.

Thank you for your question. If the buttons are not working the issue will be either with the membrane or the display board. The part number listed for the membrane is FIX11763370 and the part number for the display board is FIX11729515. Check the connections between the parts to make sure everything is fitted properly.
