Bill Rainford

Bill holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Boston University and is a graduate of the Preservation Carpentry Program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston. This mix of skills has helped him share his love of woodworking via technology including his blog, online photos, videos, and other media. As an author, he has written for Fine Homebuilding, Popular Woodworking, Historic Boston and his own blog “Rainford Restorations.” He’s a member of the faculty at the Boston Architectural College where he teaches a semester-long graduate class in “Traditional Building” as part of the Historic Preservation Master’s Degree program. He’s also developed and taught several woodworking and preservation carpentry workshops at the North Bennet Street School.
