
Amby Burfoot won the Boston Marathon in 1968, and has finished the Manchester Thanksgiving Day Road Race 51 years in a row, winning it nine times. A Runner's World editor since 1978, he currently serves as an editor at large. He has been awarded virtually all journalism prizes in the road-running industry, including those from the Road Runners Clubs of America, the National Distance Running Hall of Fame, the New York Road Runners, and Running USA. He has run roughly 105,000 miles in his life, and hopes to add a few more.
