I have replaced the lid lock and the engaging motor. The lid light stays ON won't go OFF. Can You Help?
For model number WTW5700XW0
Hello Gregory, Thank you for the question. We suggest resetting the Switch. Locate the lid lock switch underneath the top panel. Secure a strong magnet between the switch and the panel. Reattach the top panel and restore power to the washer before repositioning it. Lift the washer lid. If the washer resumes operation, the lock is successfully bypassed. If the Whirlpool washer lid won’t unlock, you may need to reposition the magnet. We hope this helps!

Easy Install
The how to video made this quick & easy. Washer was back up & running in less than 15 minutes. We purchased our Maytag bravos series washer in 2011. It started having issues with the lid latch mechanism in 2014. We’ve had to slam the lid shut for the past 5 years, until it finally gave out & wouldn’t work at all. Ordered this new lid latch assembly, it arrived a few days later & installation was a breeze. Now we can gently close the lid & you can hear it lock as soon as you press the start button.
