Drain Pump with Pulley

Tip washer onto front. Remove drive belt fro pump pulley. Remove 4 screws holding access panel surrounding the drain hose. Slide spring clamps back on to the 2 hoses. Remove 3 bolts holding pump. Reverse steps to reassemble.

Read more r the 10 minute shutdown, I could see that the motor was running at its full power causing the belt to be held up elsewhere. The loud noises were coming from the drain pump. After removing the drain pump, it was easy to see the bearings were shot. I had visible wear(which is not something every drain pump might show). Seeing this tells me the bearings were working for the 10 mins causing the screeches and getting hot enough after to seize the belt causing the burning at the motor. (Hope that helps). To replace the pump, you remove the drain pump supply and return hoses by pinching the retaining clamps and shifting the hose ends from the pump supply and return flanges. There are 3 socket head screws retaining the pump, remove those and the pump should want to ease out from the drive belt fairly easily. Replace the pump. Assemble the hoses and socket screws to their proper locations. The drive belt can be placed back online by shifting the motor about 2 inches to the right. There should be clearance for the motor to shift side to side allowing the belt to slack or pull tight. Align the belt to all 3 pulleys and you should be fabulous after that.

I watch the video that was provided, and did exactly as the video, and it took me about 15-20 minute. The only thing that got me was I pull the water drain hose out to fast and got little water on me. Make sure to put a rag that will absorb water around the drain pump, and have a small but low bucket to catch the extra water in the hose ... Read more . Other than that it was simple. My next project is to change the snubber ring because my washer is shaking and I saw some plastic shaving under the washer tub.

Removed front panel , replaced water pump and closed it back up. Thanks to your videos I shouldn't need a repairman again! Thank you, James

Started by removing the front panel to isolate the sound. Tilted the unit to remove the drive belt and spun the pulley to make sure that my problem was the pump. Once the new pump arrived I pulled the unit away from the wall and removed the rear access panel. Then removed the two hoses after draining what little water was left in the h ... Read more oses. Followed by removing the three screws holding the old pump and installing the new pump. Next replace the items that I removed and turn the machine back on to check for leaks.

It took me 30 minutes to screw 3 bolts, reattach 2 rings, drag the machine machine in place and reconnect the water. Then the faucets leaked, so today I turned off the water and disassembled the head of the faucet to attach plumber plastic white tape. It does not leak any more, the washing machine works as a charm.
