Machine stopped before the spin cycle leaving tub full of water. Could initially be "fixed" by opening kid and slamming closed. Then that fix no longer worked.
Unplugged machine. Unscrewed the three screws and two hex nuts on the metal back of the top console. Tilted top console forward to expose the existing lid switch assembly. Unplugged the old assembly. Plugged in new assembly. Tested machine. Tilted console into position and screwed on metal back plate.

washer was shaking and walking , lid switch didn't engage
I did everything by the instuctions on your site, i used the vicegrips to attach the springs , i tipped the tub as much in the direction of the springs being installed and latched on the spring with vicegrips And attached it, no problem.The ring was no problem at all per instructions, the lid switch was ok installed the way it came off. machine would not fill with water & would not run
removed the control panel back panel. removed the electric plug from lid switch. removed switch. installed new switch and installed electrical plug on switch. installed back panel, plug the machine to power closed the lid machine started filling with water. the instruction sheet that came with the new switch was very helpful. thanks

Lid was dropped accidentally and damaged teh safety switch
Removed the back panel, slid the selection panel out of its holdings, removed the old switch, installed the new switch, put the panel back in place and secured the back panel. Turned Washer on and it worked great. Easy job.
