Water dripping in tub before and after wash
Unplugged washer and disconnected water lines from back of washer. Used putty knife to slide between top of washer and cabinet to release latches that hold them together ( in front about two inches from each corner). d slid out old valve. Slid new valve in place, attached screws and wiring, closed top, reattached hoses to back of washer and plugged back in. All done in about 20 minutes.

Water driping in washer drum............
Down loaded Maytag's manual went on this site. I called & explained my problem & gave them the model number,order the Valve. it was that easy & saved lots of money..............

washer would not stay in balance and at times cold water would not completely shut off
case top and front had to be removed, belt to pully removed, tub springs removed, install new snubber ring, remove and replace water valve. Hardest part of repair was putting springs back onto tub used vise grips to assist.
