Dirty bellow with strong, unpleasant odor
Replaced with new bellow following instructions on YouTube video. Following directions, disassembly was very easy. Only tricky part of re-assembly was installation of final retainer ring, but using 2 screw drivers, I was able to get it around the bellows and into the groove. No leaks and no more smell!

Replacing a rubber gasket on a front loader washer/ Kenmore made by LG
You tube will be your best bet for assistance!! This replacement went very well with the assistance of You Tube - make certain you have correct model for replacement instructions however - each MFR model will have slightly different componentry in the steps required , which is significant! It probably took my husband a little longer bec ause this is something we typically do not do, we did have all the required tools which helps as well!!

Washer was leaking out of the front. bellows had a tear in it
Using soap to lubricate the inner seal made that procedure go smoothly. I found it easier to use needlenose pliers to reattach the spring holder to the door assembly than using a screw driver.

The bellows was hard to get around the drum
My problem was really shipping. The clamp came flat in a box inside a larger box. The bellows came in a very small box all twisted so it would fit. I had to put the bellows in the dryer to warm it up to get all the kinks out of it. Even at that it wanted to curl up to the shape it was in the box. Also the spring on the front clamp wa s so tight I could not get it to stretch over the drum so I used the old one. Working well now.

The washer was leaking at the bottom of the door.
I figured out that the bellows needed replacing. I followed the instructional video supplied by this site. It was easy to take the washer apart along with the bellows but I had a HELL of a time getting the thing back on. It took some tweaking and patience but I got it on there nice a secure. Don't forget to put a little dish washing liqui d around the rim where the bellows goes. It made the job a little easier. All in all I saved a couple hundred bucks doing it myself,

Our bellow was torn
Took off the three front plates, removed the retaining wire, disconnected the bellow from the front of the washer, removed the detergent hose, pushed the bellow to the inside of the washer and removed the inner retaining wire, disconnected the old bellow and set it aside, cleaned out the area where the new bellow would be seated, seated t he new bellow on the inside and replaced the retaining wire, replaced detergent hose, fit bellow on the outside of the washer and replaced the retaining wire, ensured that the new bellow was seated and sturdy, replaced the three front panels... Done!

Washer leaking at bottom of door bellows
Followed the online video associated with the part. Had ONE minor exception. Whirlpool added a screw inserted up from the bottom center of the control panel that did not show in the video. It requires a Phillips screwdriver to remove it so the control panel will tilt out at the bottom. Rest of the video shows the process well, the bell ows was floppy and hard to align, but once it was lined up at the critical bottom it went in easily. Replacing the control panel needed a bit of fiddling to get the screw tab inside the bottom of the panel into the right place to replace the 'extra' screw. Washer no longer leaks, and this saved me a ton of money!
