Washer Spin Cycle was making a noise - bearing suspected
Initially replaced the tub bearing, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was the bearing in the shaft and mode shifter assembly, but you cannot replace the bearing in this assembly without complex tools an knowledge of the device assembly. So I had to replace the entire assembly. Only real difficult was removing the hub nut. Really need a hub nut wrench to get it off. First tear down and re-assembly for the hub bearing took 5 hours, (while watching Steves video on a table). Second tear down and re-assembly took 2.5 hours. Additionally I added some rubber to the agitator drive interface to lessen the banging that it causes when changing direction.

Water Leeking from the core of the shaft & Mode Shifter Assembly
Viewed & closely followed the 4 videos for replacing the Tub Bearing, replacing Tub Seal, replacing Agitator Coupler, and replacing the Drive Belt. Viewed a further video on replacing the Shaft & Mode Shifter Assembly by other. Replaced all subject parts in the 5 videos except the drive belt. The details of dis-assembly were followed with a strict organization of dismantled parts and screws. Paid attention to Steve comments on Tub Nut. The Tub Nut tightness can sap your will. You may take a break or two & return to it. I sprayed the tub nut with Lime Away repeatedly followed by anti rust agent. In addition the outer bottom of the inner tub needed to be similarly de-limed by repeated spraying with Lime Away. Finally, a 1 11/16 Spanner Wrench was a must tool.
