Unplugged washer, Turned off water valves, unscrewed hoses from back of washer (connected to inlet valve), unscrewed top of washer, unhooked connectors, unscrewed valve piece, put in new piece and reassembled. Before we ordered the part we checked to make sure that the water pressure and hoses and back of valve did not have any debris c logging it. Determined it had to be valve. Just a note, when opened up the old part, because we were curious as to what happened inside of it, we discovered that the entire plunger on the hot water side had disintegrated and broken off. This was the original part on this washer purchased in September of 2006. Just watch the video - it will show you exactly how to do it.
