Previous owner reported machine was not letting in water
I bought a the matching dryer for $100 and the previous owners gave me the washer for FREE because it suddenly quit filling with water. I You Tubed and Googled and came to This site. The website futher confirmed the washer most likely needed a water inlet valve. Ordered and received quickly. 1. Unscrewed the back panel. 2. Unscrewed t

he water inlet valve. 3. disconnected the hot/cold plug ins. 4. used pliers to squeeze the wire hose clamp and twisted off the hose from the valve. 5. Reconnected everything and hooked up the machine. One thing is we possibly found there may be a short in the front wash select knob. But the washer is up and running. I am a 51 yr old single grandparent raising a grandson. I got a free washer and my brainstorming saved me a fortune. Thanks !

front load washer would start to wash then stop agitating.
We followed video instructions provided by this site repair for the water inlet valve. We continued with door lock assembly by working through top of machine instead of taking off rubber seal. This was an option that video suggested but did not show. Washer was repaired and is now working just fine. Thank you for providing video.
