Spool line not advancing, How to remove spool from cap?
For model number gh3000
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. Begin by removing the spool cap and the spool from the trimmer head. To remove the cap, press the tabs on either side, and pull it away from the housing. Install the new spool by removing the trimmer line from the holders in the spool. Unwind the line a few inches, remove the old spool from the trimmer head, thread the trimmer line on the new spool through the eyelet and snap the spool into place. This trimmer feeds too FAST, spitting a lot of line out quickly, even though the ratchet lever is in place and does not look worn. Should I just replace the bump cap and lever to see if that works?
I re-wound with 0.065" line of two types: straight and twisted.
