Wheel Assembly - Kit of 2

Removed 1 screw on each runner (Left & Right) then tilted up out of the way. Removed old rollers by removing the nut on the back of the bearing axle. Breaking the small metal tab on each side with pliers. I inserted the threaded shafts with the base rotated 90°, held the nut with a magnet until I got the shaft threaded, then tightened ... Read more the nut as tight as I could with 2 fingers. I then rotated the nylon mount with a set of channel locks until the nylon tab was straight down and lock into position. I finished tightening the nut with an open end wrench. I found this easier than driving the nylon mount in from the bottom with a hammer and drift punch.

The lip on the front of the bar had to be bent so it was almost straight out so a wrench could be put on the nut to remove the old roller. There was not room enough to get on the nut with pliers or wrench and turn it. much more difficult than the instructions laid out.

In replacing the old partial rusted drawer slides had rusted screw with nuts that spun had to drill them out and replaced front larger bolt and nut the rear screw used a larger sheet metal screw. The wheels and bearing with on easy the instructions showed a modification to remove a tab for the different wheel assembly and installed just ... Read more like the instructions. When done the drawer will slide out with just touch of your foot on open tab GREAT!! I was looking at buying a new compactor the repair saved me about 700 $. Thanks a lot. Never had a trash Compactor before this great and it keeps my puppy out of trash.
