- This is a crank arm for a workmate, sold individually. It is also sometimes referred to as a handle arm. The hole that connects the crank to the shaft has a diameter of a 1/2-inch. The purpose of the crank arm is to open and close the front rear vise jaws. To assemble, place the crank arm over the vise screw rod end, line up the holes and secure the roll pin using a hammer.

A broken crank arm and knob had been replaced by one of dad's "creative" solutions (a pipe fitting & a rusty nail bent at a 90 degree angle). Yikes!
It would have been super easy if I had just had to follow your repair video. However, I had to punch out the metal pin, which went thru dad's make-shift repair (the pipe fitting) It was a bit stubborn. After that, I put the crank arm on & snapped the new knob on. If users follow your repair video, it should be very easy.
