Removed plastic shield on top of refrigerator. Removed old bulb.. Replaced new bulb. Reinstalled plastic shield. Voila!
Were these instructions helpful?
You have to unscrew the pivot plate from the upper middle of the cabinet first. Then slide back and remove the clear lightbulb cover. Use a thin flat screwdriver to pry off the entire bracket assembly from the roof of the fridge, being careful to unlatch the plug for the electrical wires. Use the screwdriver to pop off the plastic part covering the cable connection for the old touchpad, then peel off the old touchpad and unplug it. Plug in the new part, pressing it into place - it's self-adhering.
Watched the video on the repair you supplied...gave us confidence to make the repair. As easy as the video shows. We went ahead and bought 2 hinges and replaced both sides, since we had it apart...We, however, took the opportunity to take the door completely apart and clean it very good. Went back together easy. The new parts fit perfectly and my oven looks and works like it is brand new..New light bulb was a snap too. So glad I found this company....fast shipping too. Will always look here first in the future.
Removed front dispenser panel with screwdriver pryed it off. And discover micro switch had come out of holder control bracket. Order and replace bracket. Easy peasy. Old switch back in place. Panel back on. Done.
With power off, simply take small screwdriver and insert from interior of old socket to bend inward (each side) a small retaining tab that holds socket assembly in place. Once both tabs are bent inward, sockets pulls out easily; be careful not to lose spade terminals connected on rear. Reattach spade connectors (2) to new socket assembly, and firmly press them back into rear corner of oven which you will here a snap when side clips engage. Insert new bulb and lens cover.
The first thing we did was remove the oven door in order to reach the connection, which is in the right back of the oven. It was easy to clip the connection in using a needle nose pliers. Then we gently pushed the element back into the insulation and stabilized the element by screwing the plate to the back of the oven. Then we simply put the door back on. Very easy.
Original light fixture difficult to remove. I could not see or feel tabs holding fixture to chassis. In anger I finally used hammer and screwdriver to forcibly remove fixture, destroying it in the process. Happily, the new fixture snapped into the hole as advertised.
take out old bulb, twist in new bulb. make sure not to over twist it in.
first of all there were four screws to take out not just 2 then since there was 1 wire more on old that had to be completely remove & disregarded that wasn't in replacement info an the fact that picture digram was upside down made connecting coded wires complicated because old burner was faceing up once you take wires off old one & ellinate extra wire and not all wires were colored same had to try 4-time in changing wire slots that 4-time had to shut off breakers to electric an hope that the next time the wire config would be wright, if the had put all info about taking it apart & tuned diagram write side up there would not have been any problem changing ,should have had more instruction
