Warning light on refrig showed filter should be changed
I followed the video that was on-line and the change out was quickly completed. One tip--the video did not include instructions on resetting the light on the refrigerator from red to green. Instructions were, however, on the fridge near the light. This is not the first year I have ordered a replacement cartridge from this site. I will likely order another next year.

CHANGE THE WATER FILTER
I HAD NEVER CHANGED THE FILTER BEFORE.....I HAD JUST ALWAYS CALLED THE SEARS SERVICE DEPT. PROBLEM: THE SEARS STORE CLOSED IN OUR TOWN OVER A YEAR AGO. THE WATER FILTER WAS SO CLOGGED IT WOULD HARDLY SUPPLY THE ICE MAKER, MUCH LESS OUR DRINKING WATER. SOLUTION: GO ON LINE AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN FIND. I FIND THE WEBSITE AND MY DREAMS OF AN EASY-FIX CAME TRUE. MY WIFE WAS REALLY IMPRESSED.

ice maker plastic housing leaked where the two water lines were connected.
replaced ice maker housing....easier to disconnect the ice maker electric solonoid at back of refrigirator (just two screws hold the entire bracket) then disconnect the two lines that goe from the solonoid to the ice maker housng than to try to disconnect while the housing is installed.

Ice maker in referidgerator wouldn't work and 8" burner on range wouldn't heat
R&R filter to fix ice problem. Followed the video on you tube to install burner. No problem, just make sure to mark where the wires go on the burner element to make installing the new element easier.

No ice
Control boards were flashing error signals so swapped them out with a screwdriver to remove panels. Ice maker was stuck during ice making cycle and had a small amount of ice still in it. I swapped that out too with the nutdriver. The repair was quick and we now have ice.

The water filter in the refrigerator was red.
I turned the round knob located on the bottom of the front grill and removed the existing water filter by pulling the entire filter outwards. I then slid the knob off the old filter and attached the new water filter to the knob. Then I inserted the new water filter into the opening and had to use a plier in order to gently turn the knob into the proper position. Then I had to press the water filter button located in the refrigerator for two seconds in order to reset the water filter and have the red light turn to green. You will need to flush the water that was sitting in the refrigerator until clear water flows from the water dispenser.
