- Product Description
- This ice and water filter is NSF-certified to filter out sediment, chlorine, and lead to improve the taste and odor of your water. It is recommended to change the filter every six month, or after 200 gallons of water have passed through. Replacing the filter is a simple job that does not require any tools, just be sure to shut off the ice maker beforehand. The filter is located below the fridge door in the kick plate grill, behind the round cap. Rotate the cap a quarter turn counterclockwise, so it goes from a horizontal to a vertical position. Pull the filter out giving it a wiggle if necessary to get it loose. Slide the holder cap off the old filter and place onto the new one. Remove the protective cover from the end of the filter and insert it into place, with the holder cap in the vertical position. This time make a quarter turn in the clockwise direction, so the holder is back in a horizontal position. This is a genuine OEM part that measures approximately 2.5 inches in diameter and 10.5 inches long.
