This NSF-certified filter is designed so it is easily accessible and simple to replace. It can be found in the front, bottom panel of your appliance. Remove your new filter from the packaging, making sure to remove the port cover. Pop out the older filter by pressing the push-button to the left of the filter, reapply the bottom cap to the new one, and slide it into the holder until you hear a click. To activate the filter, thoroughly run the dispenser, a loud air pressure sound is normal. This filter is sold individually.

Our Maytag refrigerator is leaking underneath the left side door where the filter is located. It forms ice all over under the freezer bottom drawer.

We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the drain fitting, the drain tube/trivet, the drain pan, the water inlet valve, and the water filter housing. The drain fitting and tube can become clogged or frozen and cause leaking issues, and check the water filter housing for any visible damage. Check the tubes going from the water inlet valve to the water filter housing and from the housing up to the dispenser and ice maker. Changed water filter. No problem. It had never been changed. I had a cracked door bin that kept falling out.
Just turned off water supply. Popped the old filter out inserted the new one. Made sure it was secure. Turned the water supply back on. The self just snapped in place

We followed the instruction video included on the order page. It took about 20 minutes for us. One exception to the video instruction is keeping the "infrared door closed".
