The refrigerator ice dispenser door (round flapper) had a broken attachment ear.
I watched the video and duplicated the steps shown. It's not likely that I could have completed the repair without the video. All steps were shown in detail and I went back to the video when I forgot some steps. Since I only needed to replace the flapper, I decided not to replace the working solenoid and will keep the new one in reserve.

The steps to replace the solenoid are very simple had I replaced it. It would have helped had I written down the most important steps. Initially, I got an estimate for the repair which was unacceptable, so I decided to try it first myself. Even though the spring didn't need replacement, it would have been good to have in the kit since it seemed to be an inexpensive part. If you're handy at all, I would recommend doing the repair yourself.

Parts of Ice Dispenser Assembly fell into my cup
I followed the lead of the professional video provided so will not go into details on what I did. I'll just add a few of my hurdles that I ran into. Pay close attention to the video on how the solenoid stem fits onto the plastic assembly. I didn't get that exactly correct the 1st time around and first try didn't go well. I also ha

d a problem with the 'CUBE' option being selected after reassembly. I had to clean the contacts up on the printed circuit board. I used an eraser which didn't seem to work. Then used a small screwdriver to remove a small film off from the contacts. Finally got the cube selection to work. I believe these new parts will also help in preventing the dispenser from frosting up. Won't know for sure until summer time but when its humid out our ice assembly would frost up often. The new ice shute flapper seems to seal much better than the old one because the seal had practically worn away on the old one. Again, watch the professional video. It is an exact representation of what needs to be done.

Ice door broken
I watched the video (twice). Then followed the steps shown in the video and it was easy. I ordered the Ice door return spring but did not use as the original was intact. Likewise, I did not have to use the solenoid. The original is still working.

Ice door broke
Watched a video on line. Unscrewed 5 screws holding face plate on. Inplugged the wire to the face plate. Replaced the arm holding the ice door and the solenoid. Used the old spring. Replugged the wire to the face plate and screwed it back on. Ice and water back in operation.
