Ice maker light would not come on, therefore, would not make ice or fill tray
Unplugged refrigerator, removed 2 top screws retaining ice maker. Removed bottom retaining screw, while holding ice maker, I then unplugged wiring harness at back of freezer. Harness has a retaining clip with 2 fasteners- 1 on each side. I used a flat screwdriver-12"'#1 to loosen fasteners on each side. Replaced new ice maker in reverse order. The only difficulty I encountered, was reaching to rear of freezer compartment. Other than that, it was a complete breeze. Unit started working as soon as ice maker was cold enough for filling of tray.
