the fridge would not stay cool

Replace the termostat and temp sensor for those two you have to cut and splice new wires. And the water filter easy twist off and twist back on for the heater and braket assembly it was pull out old and place new maybe hour long job

Refrigerators temperature rose to 50 degrees and freezer to 30 degrees

Removed food and shelves from freezer. Removed light cover and light bulbs. Removed for screws from freezer coils exposing coils and defrost heater. Used hair dryer to defrost coils. Removed connectors from defrost heater. Removed two screws holding defrost heater, replaced heater and put everything back together.

frig side warm, freezer ok

Watched the videos then found a schematic which showed the defroster, temp sensor and timer all in series. Checked continuity of defroster per the video ( open) so decided to change all to make sure. Ordered the parts for overnight delivery. Arrived the next morning. When finished with replacement I plugged in the cord and...nothing!!! Lights worked but nothing else. Had to rotate the exposed timer screw then the evaporator fan started to run again...turned out the timer was in the defrost cycle! Took a full 24 hours to get really cold on the frig side.

Fridge not cooling

My advice is to go all the way thur the repair help section before ordering parts. I've had great success with part select and this time I got lazy and ordered the most common symptom part and it didn't fix the issue. After going back to the repair help section I realized that I would have fixed it the first time if I had just followed the"program." Defrost part was easy, just a "plug in" part. Mike

Took off back panel in the freezer,maybe 6 screws, looked at the bottom of the cooling coils and found the Defrost heater mounted in the bracket Assembly.

First unplug the freezer, remove back panel in freezer, then look at the bottom of cooling coils, there is two wires going to the Defrost Heater mounted in the Bracket Assembly, Remove the two screws, unhook the 2 wires and then reinstall new one same way you take that old one out...

Freezer was not defrosting

Remove every thing from the freezer. Unplug the electrical plug from the electrical outlet. Remove all of the shelves. remove the plastic light cover. There is a Philips head screw in the top center light cover. You may need a stubby screw driver. Remove the four screws in the back panel with a 1/4 inch nut driver, carefully remove this back panel. Located at the bottom is the defrost heater and' I recommend that the replacement heater and bracket be in your hand before attempting to do this repair if you are like myself, so that you know what the heater assy. looks like. remove the two Philips head screws, one on each end of the assy. Lift out the assy. far enough to unplug the electrical wires. Now put every thing back in reverse order., (using the new assy!.)

NO AIR IN REFRIGERTOR SIDE TOO WARM

REMOVED SHELFS IN FREEZER SIDE, REMOVED TWO SCREWS FROM BACK PANEL ON INSIDE, UNPLUGED TWO WIRES,REMOVED TWO MORE SCREWS TO REMOVE DEFROST HEATER AND THEN REPLACED EVERYTHING. WORKING GREAT SO FAR

Freezer to hot for ice cream--runs excessivly

Free fridge so the price was right.--located at my camp 2hrs away so access was limited. I first bought the top trouble parts, defrost thermostat (2) just in case. There are 4 but the one located in the freezer was not the problem. The evaporator continued to freeze up. Next trip up I brought the evaporator sensor and defrost heater, to no avail. Read about the brain circuit board and asked the person who gave me the box if she had trouble with the ice maker. She said yes it would not dispense ice. I did not hook the ice maker due to very low temps in that location but I new I had it. Defrosted the evap again and 30 min later the board was in and I had a new fridge for the price of the parts!

My freezer stopped working and my fridge stopped getting cold.

Freezing coils

Took out the food and,food racks,remove,two screws at the top of the panel,took the ground clamp off the top of the panel pull the panel up and out,at the bottom of the coils the heating bracket,remove two screws,unplug the two wires,plug the drain hole, I put a big bath towel in the bottom to catch the water from frozen coils i use warm water to defrost the ice from coils,make sure to protect the two wires, I use the wet vac to suck up the water,reversing the the vac hose blow dry the coils,put the two wires back on,put the two screws back on the bracket,put the panel back,the job is finish,it took me about thirty minutes,everything is going good!
