This is an evaporator fan motor, located in the freezer compartment. It is sold as a single unit. It is responsible for moving air over the evaporator coils as the compressor is running. When this part is faulty you may hear loud sounds coming from the freezer area, your refrigerator may not stay as cold as normal, or the ice might take longer to freeze. On this model there are two fans top and bottom, is the motor the same? Is this something the home owner could replace? Thanks

Hello Ted, Thank you for the question. The Top fan is the Evaporator Fan, Fix Number: FIX10063450 and the bottom is the Condenser Fan, Fix Number: FIX11721902. The Fan motors are different. Most customers have been able to perform the repair on their own. We hope this helps!
Wondering if this part will stop endless noise . Temperatures for freezer and lower fridge are good. But when running it is hours at a time. Sometimes all day or all night. Noise is annoying. Medium level.
