Product Description

This is a refrigerator water inlet valve and mounting bracket. It is responsible for releasing water from the supply line when triggered, which makes its way through to the water dispenser and/or icemaker in your refrigerator. It is located behind the refrigerator, connected to the water supply. This part is prone to material fatigue from normal use. A defective water valve could cause a lack of ice production, and your water dispenser to stop working properly. If the solenoids no longer have continuity or the valve is plugged, it will need to be replaced. For this repair, you will need to pull the refrigerator out from the wall and disconnect the water and power connection. Please note that this part may look different than the original but is a manufacturer-approved replacement.

Hello Adam, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our research, the issue is most probably with the drain pan, part number FIX2331555. It is at the bottom of the cabinet, behind the toe grille and collects water that runs out the drain line during defrost. We would recommend replacing it to solve the problem. We hope this helps!

Valve wouldn't fill the ice maker
Old valve used compression fittings on the plastic lines. The new valve uses the push oring fittings which required cutting off the end of each line. The line to the ice maker was quite short to start with and after cutting the end off it was to short which required splicing in a short piece of line. After installation it works fine

No Ice being made, no water from water dispenser
I followed instructions from repair video. Watched it 3 time and had it handy during install if I need to refer to it. A little more water than I expected came from tubing, but not too much. One hand towel was sufficient. Make sure to clean up water on electrical connectors before reattaching and plugging in refrigerator. Everything went exactly as the video described. No surprises. As I replaced filter at same time I let water flow from dispenser (5-6 12oz glasses) until it was clear. Ice maker went into production immediately, too, and I had plenty in just a few hours. Thanks
