Ice Maker stopped working.
The printed instruction that came with it were so small I could not follow the process. My problem was that my original ice maker had the wiring plug directly into it. The replacement had a wire cord coming our of it along with a needed adapter, this made the cord very long. I found a video on youtube that showed exactly how to install it. Once I found that video everything went rather smoothly. The ice maker is now working great.

icemaker leaking
it was a straight forward fix!!! I loosened two screws that holds the icemaker in and pulled the plug loose from the connector. they sent an adaptor plug with the icemaker and I didn't need it. I plugged in the connector, set the maker back on the screws(the screw holes are slotted) tightened the screws!!!! took me 15 mins total time. new one works great thanks

plastic gears had stripped and would no longer make ice
Very easy install. Loosen two screws, un plug wire connector, lift old ice maker slightly and remove. Install in reverse order. Use a 1/4 in. nut driver on the screws makes it very easy. Installed in less than 15 min.

Icemaker stopped in middle of cycle
Useful tips: 1) 1/4" nutdriver used. Loosen the two screws above the icemaker (by feel), then you can push the entire unit up about 1/2 inch and slip it off of the screws. 2) Make sure the wire harness does not hang under the icemaker, where there is a heater (that can damage the wires); also, make sure the wire harness is not directly above the ice reservoir, where the icemaker fingers can catch it and damage it. Use cable ties, and fold it back on itself as needed. 3) To reinstall icemaker, tilt up the back of the unit (so you can see the rear screw hanger); slip that one over its screw; then tilt up the front of the unit, which will now be aligned with its screw. 4) Make sure the water fill tube is aligned correctly -- easy to do, but obviously things won't work right if it's not filling the correct location. 5) Icemaker won't start its cycle until the body cools down enough; for me, it was about 2-3 hours until it started its cycle.

Freezer wasn't making ice.
I replaced the ice maker although I wasn't sure if that would fix it of if it was the valve/solenoid. The ice maker took about three hours to start making ice and I had already ordered the selonoid. So note to those replacing ice maker, wait a few hours for ice to be made after changing ice maker.
