Hello Tony, thank you for contacting us. The temperature sensor is located inside a cover on the rear wall of the fresh food compartment. To replace it, unplug the power switch, and remove the top shelf of the fresh food compartment. Unscrew the cover box with a screwdriver. Press and pull the old sensor out. Plug in the new one, and place the cover back on it. Tighten up the screw. We hope this information helps!

Hi Lisa, thank you for your question. This temperature sensor, part number FIX1765215, is usually located down at the bottom of your appliance near the evaporator. Where is the defrost thermostat located? And how many thermistor are there? Would a bad one cause the heating element not to engage?
For model number Lghb2867pfe
Fix.com logo
Hi Keaton, Thank you for your question. The defrost thermostat is attached to the evaporator coils and heating element. We are showing one thermistor listed for your refrigerator in the area where the coils are located. If the thermistor is not working it may prevent the defrost heater from working. You should also check the defrost thermostat and the main control board. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
