Product Description

This is a compression nut for your refrigerator/freezer. The compression nut is used with the plastic water line for the icemaker assembly. It is the connection between the water supply line and the other components in the unit. This part is necessary to receive water and ice from your appliance. If your ice and water assembly are not dispensing, you may need to replace this part.

body of old valve was leaking
Pulled appliance away from wall for room to work. Shut off water and power. Inspected replacement part for best mounting position. Removed old part and cut off 1/2 in of plastic tubing for an unmarred piece of tubing to properly fit into the new fitting. I put teflon tape on the water input attachment point. Attached electrical co nnection and mounted valve to appliance and then attached water line to tape covered mounting and inserted plastic tubing into valve, turned on water and plugged in power plug. All went well no leaks. I kept the refrigerator away from the wall for several cycles to make sure.
